This Atomic-era mid-century home reflects modern taste with its unadorned machine era style and modernity. Warm and inviting curved birch wood interior displays a very high level of craftsmanship. The highly functional minimalism layout has an open floor plan that feels spacious and easy to navigate. History: The Spartan all aluminum exterior Aircraft's were the basis of inspiration for the Spartan Mansion line. The famous Spartan Executive Model 7W aircraft was one of the most famous built by Spartan Aircraft in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The same aeronautical genius was applied in the concept and building techniques of the lightweight Royal Mansion. Like its aeronautical predecessor, it was designed and built for durability and trouble-free performance. This one is still 100% functional and will cater to all of ones needs on and off the grid. This Mansion was one of the very first Royal Mansions built in 1950 at the Tulsa, OK Spartan Aircraft plant. This is one of the only remaining original Spartan's in immaculate original condition, located in the dry Southern United States. Our research has only uncovered 3 sold like it over the last few years. This trailer obtains the multi-tiered split windows throughout, 4 roof top ventilation shafts, two rear quarter rolling windows, forward slating nose, elegantly down curved tail-end and nearly perfect exterior and interior. This beauty will easily become the envy of all Spartan Aficionado's who lay eyes. The great ones like this quickly disappear from the US. when purchased by off-shore collectors of rare Americana. Hollywood & Spartans: Hollywood has always had a love affair with Spartan Trailer's since they seem to scream, ''I HAVE ARRIVED'' ! Actors and Actresses like Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz always had one on set. Even today's Actress Jane Hallwoorth owns a Mansion that travels around with her on and off set. These trailers are making a huge comeback and prices will only continue to go up as it gets harder to find them in original condition. Scope of Refresh: The refresh of the trailer was mostly done to the mechanical drive-ability and tow safety of the trailer. Even though this was the most modern trailer produced in 1950, it needed to be gone through and serviced with more modern materials. The exterior aluminum body, the sub frame, all the distressed interior birch wood and interior trim, cabinetry and some appliances are all 100% original from 1950. We worked very hard to keep it original so that it's unique 50's style and feel would show through and it does! Interior: The interior has all its factory original birch wood from floor to ceiling. It still obtains all the aluminum fittings in the windowsills, skylights, sky light caps. All original art deco style hinges and cabinetry hard-wear. This trailer still has its two ORIGINAL birch wood screen doors, they are so rare and beautiful! Kitchen obtains a one piece aluminum double sink, four burner LP gas stove with large oven below. Upgraded 3-way fridge that runs on 12v/120v/LP Gas. Classic, original one piece sconces light up each wall through out the trailer. Large "yacht" style fluorescent lighting found under each cabinet to create a very soothing low light disbursement at night. Original glass lantern over top the kitchen nook seating area that runs on LP Gas; helps light the forward area when boon-docking. Kitchen nook seating has been re-skinned with new, yet period correct materials and obtains it original cotton stuffing and springs that gives it that comfortable and unique 50's dinner feel! Open Floor Plan: This unique Royal Mansion obtains a completely open forward living space. Walking towards the rear you will observe a beautifully curved art-deco style cocktail/ mixing table; its multi-tiered shelving allows for displaying pictures and your favorite liquors. Walking further to the rear takes you into a spacious retro kitchen on the left and large 50's diner style seating with fire engine red seats. As you walk past the kitchen area this leads you to a private sliding door; upon opening, you enter a small hallway that leads to the bathroom entrance on left and further past you enter into a very spacious and very uniquely shaped private rear quarters with its own private entrance/exit. The large and spacious room's allow the new owner(s) the opportunity to furnish the trailer as they see fit. Design it however you want... Need dinner party space, no problem! Need to sleep 6+ people, no problem. Use furniture from your private mid-century collection or find pieces from a local boutique to furnish your trailer and make it into YOUR own very special and unique space. Windows: All windows and bug screens are 100% original with the exception to the three Plexiglas windows in front. These windows have been replaced with new modern plexi-glass material and new rubber gaskets. All windows open and close as they should. Floor: We installed beautiful German wood flooring throughout the trailer that compliments the light birch wood walls and ceiling. Between the sub-floor and the wood floor we added a high-tech weather barrier that will reflect heat and cooling to retard temperature fluctuations. The under carriage has not been compromised and is still sealed from front to back. Its original aluminum cladding/ barrier is still fully intact and will continue to protect the undercarriage as it has since new. Bathroom: Bathroom is a very unique one piece all aluminum wet bath configuration. The bathroom interior has been repainted with a special wet bath paint that resists marking and chipping. The lavatory has a tall toilet, sink, ventilation system, window, shower head, floor drain, over head storage compartment. On-board Systems:All fresh, black and gray water lines still have good integrity when tested under pressure. The wall electrical receptacles and lighting are functional and have tested positive for integrity. There is a modern upgraded 6 gallon hot water heater that runs on LP gas. Condition: This Spartan has been gone through professionally and it is ready to be lived or traveled in. Currently configured for park use only as there are no black or gray water holding tanks. Holding tanks can easily be added for extended or off-grid use. Exterior: Spartan Aircraft travel trailers obtain the thickest gauge aluminum ever used in a production travel trailer. Only the highest and purest grade aluminum was used in its production. This type of aluminum is usually reserved for aircraft use only. We recently commissioned a company based in Southern California that is very well known in the Spartan community for professionally polishing aluminum exteriors. At roughly 350+ man hours of polishing, 6+ cuts to expose the beautifully reflective aluminum material. Lastly it was carefully polished by a four man team using a special orbital tool to work the metal into a mirror like reflective sheen. This polishing process is a must for Spartan's to simply stand out from among the rest, and the results are breath taking. We believe this to be a rare and highly desirable Spartan Mansion and due to its original condition, we think you will agree that this is a very unique and special Spartan trailer. With any trailer there are always things you will want to add or change to make it your own. You must have an open mind when engaging in a purchase of this type. When you own a piece of rolling American history, your taking on a responsibility and a lifestyle you simply can not obtain through any modern trailer in existence, no matter how much you spend.
