Oldsmobile 455 cubic inch V8 engine and turbo hydromatic 425 three-speed automatic transmission. In the mid-1970s, GMC built a custom chassis to configure the specifications and design of what the Glenbrook had to offer. While the front end and engine components are interchangeable with the Oldsmobile Toronado, the Glenbrook has all the basic camping needs. Includes a full kitchen with a three burner stove top and propane oven. Also, it has a microwave and refrigerator-freezer and plenty of storage for all essential kitchen needs. Another unique feature is the full bathroom that has all the needs for recreational Camping. Includes toilet and shower as well as a bathroom sink. Finally, the back features a bed that folds together into a full Bed that extends the full width of the interior. The front dinette folds down into a twin bed. I bought this 1973 23-foot GMC Motorhome from the original owner who had put a lot of love into including after-market chrome bumpers, a rear ladder and rails, a ‘welcome’ step, and a 1976 Cadillac 500 V8 engine with ~150k miles on it. The rig lived in the Santa Ynez Valley for her holy life. I bought it (tinker toy) 3 years ago and have made it my project. When I bought it she already ran great but we did some tune-ups. We started on the engine replacing all belts and gaskets, a new radiator, a new carburetor, and new spark plugs. We also put in two new rear airbag suspensions and replaced all 7 tires. We then gutted the inside and started from scratch with new materials and appliances with a vision for a more open and spacious rig.
