14' Heavy Duty Flatbed Trailer with Side Rails

This trailer was built to carry oak logs that we were cutting up in northern Michigan at the time. It would haul 2 to 3 Standard cord of oak logs cut 8 ft. long. a standard cord of oak weighs about 6,000 lbs. so we were hauling 12 - 15,00 lbs. a trip. Plus it has had many other and numerous uses through the years. It was custom built in the 1980's mainly to haul wood. The actual bed is approximately 14' Long and 6' Wide Overall, counting the tongue, the trailer is about 18' Long and counting the fenders 7 1/2' Wide. The frame is made up of side rails of 2" X 4" box steel ( made from back to back 1 1/2" X 4" Angle) and cross beams of 2" X 2" tube steel. The tongue is made up of 2 1/2" X 3 1/2" tube steel for main beam with 1 1/2" X 4 " channel steel. and tied together with 1/4" steel plate. The trailer was originally wired with conduit for lights and electric brakes. All that hardware is still there but needs to be rewired. Originally when we were hauling wood we had 8 ply tires. Those have worn out long ago and have been replaced by whatever cheap 15" tire we could find at the time. Trailer does have a rack and stake system of side rails which are functional, but could use some R & R. There is a very heavy, long and unwieldy pair of steel ramps available if the buyer wants them. Frame is solid, having been maintained through the years and the bed is of 2 X 12 Pine and was replaced and treated about 5 years ago Coupler is a 2" ball.

All aluminum trailer with a 14 foot short wall pass thru door to horse area, full bath with shower, kitchen has a large refrigerator with freezer, 3 burner stove with oven, microwave, double sink. comes with a queen size pillow top mattress. Mangers with storage below, twin power jacks, three large batteries, swing out saddle rack, rear ramp. This was top of the line when it was built 14 years ago, we had it built to our specks.
