Purchased new at TommysTrailers in Ada, Oklahoma, to carry collector cars. Had originally been built for a customer with a StanleySteamer heavy car, but he changed his order to an enclosed unit so this new open one became available.Dimensions 20" X 8'6". Built with twin 7,000# torsion axles.Fitted at time of purchase with new fiberglass air dam.Includes eight (8) "D" style, flush in deck, steel, swivel tiedown mechanisms.Includes several axle straps and a couple of sets-of-four ratchet strap assemblies.Built with the flush-in-deck spare wheel/tire compartment with latching, hinged lid cover. Michelin spare tire has never been on the ground.16" wheels with trim rings and caps. Michelins show very little wear from new.Bulldog hitch assembly with heavy safety chains and automatic electric emergency brake feature in case of trailer separating from towing vehicle.Four wheel electric trailer brakes serviced not many miles ago with wheel bearing repack.Fenders are easily removable for easier loading of both automobiles and trucks.Loading ramps are each six feet long. They stow under the rear deck of the trailer and the doors are padlocked. This trailer has been stowed in enclosed garages its entire life except when on a trip.Importantly, the forward deck's tongue design, you will please notice, is "V"-ed versus straight across/square. This enables one to be able to make fairly sharp turns when pulling the Tommy Trailer. The "square across the front" designs either necessitate a real wide turning radius for your puller truck... or else you rip into your pretty chrome rear bumper, plus damage your pretty square trailer's front corner. Not an insignificant detail here!Trailer pulls dead straight down the highways and does not even think about fishtailing. Very important when hauling an automobile!I am selling this beautiful trailer because it seems time for me to stop doing collector automobiles after 45 years. I'm not happy about it ending. But if you want one of the most dependable, longest-lasting, best looking open car trailers on the road, this one will meet all your standards very well.
