people are tired of the struggle and need a break from winter! Here is a refuge!
Why tow a fifth wheel or pay all the expenses of a motorhome when this bargain vacation home (or year round retirement home) is all set up and landscaped and has river rock and landscaping all completed with improvements and upgrades? Yet people still buy high and get taken in at the dealers we bought new only because we could not find anything in good used shape! We came to realize most units are not kept like we keep ours! YOU will appreciate how well we kept our place here..
Try to find... A campground where you can OWN your own LOT w/ lush foliage and this type of location. We couldn't and we looked for 3yrs! Most are cow pastures! No shade, no water front, tired looking and tightly packed lots.
OWNERSHIP of LOTS are not only RARE in FLA, but nationwide in the RV industry as well... It seems the States are new to zoning on these so only a few exist but, demand is growing. BECAUSE you can live here YEAR ROUND! If you know anything about RV parks and Resorts most require you to stay 9 months or shorter then you have to move out! You can't stay year round! You can literally retire to a RESORT and live there full time! Like I said you can own an RV but WHERE ARE YOU GOING TO KEEP IT? storage units charge 150+ a MONTH and Your backyard? REALLY?? Here it remains all SET-UP ready for your visits! NO MOVING IT AROUND, because YOU OWN THE LOT!
Many Brits, Canadians, Northern "snow birds" own here for the RV lifestyle without all the towing and GAS! Canadians own far more RV's than we do in the US...why? Because they know the bottom line on travel costs better... DO THE MATH YOURSELF.
We have owned this jewel and it is a perfect location...St Augustine FL is just a short drive North, Daytona Beach a short drive EAST....Orlando and all the attractions just to the SOUTH.....Ocala, FL is very close with renowned horse country and shopping, Silver Springs attraction, renowned Medical etc.
Convenience store (Dollar General) now "brand new" at entrance to the park property, several fine restaurants and an "outdoor outfitter" for adventure at the main plaza on property! There is also security and park association that you can rely on as well as a national forest spanning FOUR counties! and 383,000 acres. It is the southernmost and "oldest national forest east of the Mississippi River" PLUS right across the STREET is: Salt Springs State Park! www.saltspringsfl.com with water that flows to Lake George This is a gorgeous lake, second largest in Florida, and has the bonus of a clearwater salt spring just 5 miles north from Astor. The St John's river runs through, which is a feast of wildlife and magnificent tropical trees. It flows all the way from Sanford through to downtown Jacksonville and the OCEAN! Seems almost forgotten by the people of Florida. It is wilderness and wildlife at it's best even a car ferry to take you across the St John's river if you don't want to take your boat.
The Jayco model is rated a DESTINATION "Park Model" which means STD Fridge (Fridgidare) and STD micro and gas range w/oven! Even a washer/ dryer unit! We picked this so we could live in it just like any HOUSE! Not just a weekend or two.
Forget the puny RV appliances built to last weekends... This one is just like your HOME even a fireplace with remote control!! And stereo surround sound system factory wired in! Even outside speakers! 20ft Roll out awning...TWO roof air's (trust me the wife appreciated the EXTRA back air in bedroom) This is an Oasis you have to see! More than an RV it's a HOME! AND NO TAXES ON the UNIT itself unless you skirt it or tie-down unit! VERY IMPORTANT!
Only the LOT is taxed! However, if you MOVE here becoming a State Resident, you can get State Homestead exemption on this as a whole pkg if you make it your permanent residence! There are so many advantages and pluses you need to consider! (most never think on them but they are important). Other Park Models although nice, cost a premium and are TAXED.
WE ARE SELLING DUE TO A Change...in health and a job re-location that puts us in a different place where we can no longer visit the area... The site is a prime location in the Park the condition is immaculate as we NEVER rented it. We are aware in selling, we will NEVER find a spot like this again!
