Up for sale is a 1998 Chieftain with 48,000 miles. It has 2 slides, overall cosmetically in fair condition, better inside. It is a handyman special. The motor just had all new top half done, will show receipt for 2000 dollars. I drove it back to New York from North Carolina with no problems. Motor does have an exhaust leak on passenger side of manifold. Generator doesn't start, air conditioner and heat on motor does not work, rear heater off the motor works fine, 2 roof air conditioners are fine. The auto park system and emergency brake do not work. I think they are both the same problem. I sometimes hear a rattling by the transmission or exhaust, I don't know what it is. Please expect the worst it can only be better. The transmission shifts fine except for park. The electric step does not work. Both windshields are cracked and front window leaks but no water damage. There are some drawers that need attention and a drip in shower from skylight. It has a fairly new aftermarket refrigerator that stays cold all day without being plugged in. Hot water heater is electric and propane works fine. It has been winterized. There is tons of compartment space and storage throughout. The tires are good all around, brakes fine, overall, if you are handy you can save thousands on this motorhome with some work. Please understand, it is 18 years old. Please do not expect a new RV. Up for sale is a 1983 Chevy Class B+ Brougham motorhome. It has 99,000 miles and counting because it is still being used. It has a 350 Chevy that runs beautiful. It has $1200.00 in new tires. It has a 4000 watt generator, 2 way refrigerator propane hot water heater and furnace. The furnace will have to be looked at. It blows through the vents but doesn't get hot. The heat from the engine or the roof a/c which has a heat strip works fine. It has a tv , dvd, with an inverter, am fm cd player, upgrades in the interior, auxillary battery. I would take the truck anywhere right now. There might be a small leak near the windows or vents but honestly there was snow on the roof all winter and no real signs of water around.it does have a very small drip from the sink holding tank which i hope to be fixed , if not i will adjust the price It has brand new stainless steel wheel liners. Please keep in mind that the motorhome is older and there would be the normal nicks and scratches for the vehicle of this age. This is being sold as is .
