PREVOST LEMIRAGE XL ANGOLA CONVERSION (92) “WHEN YOU ARRIVE IN A PREVO, ‘THEY KNOW’ YOU HAVE ARRIVED !” The above statement is true to it’s meaning, I can testify to that. There is nothing like arriving at an RV Park or a Rest Area, Fuel Station in a Prevost, and people start staring, and saying WOW! After all, you are among a very small class of people that owns their own sort of “Personal Greyhound Bus.” This Prevost is in excellent condition with Very low miles (Only 97,500 miles total), and no damage or accident history. The all Stainless Steel Riveted Exterior Construction puts it in a class of it’s own. There is not a Brand Name, New fiberglass and wood frame (Pretender Bus) motor home, on the market today, that can hold a candle to this Prevost. Prevost is designed and constructed specifically for heavy highway use, and is one of those Million Miles coaches that will still be running the highways for many years, when the new so called high end motor homes (Pretend Bus’s), are deteriorating in a vacant lot. This 40 foot Prevost non-slide, was converted by Angola Conversions company, in 1992, at Angola Indiana, from a Brand New 102 inch wide body Prevost Shell. It was never a commercial passenger bus. New, this Prevost after new conversion was over $650,000. Prevost then and today, is the Top of the Food Chain. A new Prevost today can cost you Big Dollars. Between $1.5 Million to $2.8 Million. When you go to the Prevost bus rally’s, no matter what year or type of Prevost you own, you are in the family….Prevost Proud! This Prevo is an All Electric Coach. It sports a Detroit 8V92 turbo diesel w/ DDECII computer system, Allison 5 speed transmission. It has Six Bays for storage and built-in on board equipment. Main Cross Bus Bay has slide out floor shelves, 3 tool drawers, and a slide out work bench. It has a two speed Jake Brake (Hi-Low), Air Brakes, Air level ride suspension, Ether cold weather push button start bottle, Cruise control, Heated remote mirrors, Air ride drivers seat, Six way elect passenger seat, Electric passenger step floor, Back up camera, Weather center, Digital dash clock, CB Radio, Heavy Duty Hydraulic Jack, Three station CruiseAir Air Conditioners, Three Espar auxiliary diesel heaters, Has Prevost over the road (OTR) air conditioning and heat, (2) Dual Heart Freedom 25, 2500 watt each inverters, Electric Shore power cable reel, Radar detector, Heavy Duty Tow hitch (2 inch receiver) and new tow vehicle light plug-in. Two seat dinette with table extension, Vista lights, Spot light, Prevost Air level system, Ceramic Floor tiles in kitchen area and bathroom, Enclosed bathroom, toilet, shower and sink, Side hallway, Tan carpet in main living area, hallway and bedroom, Euro Chair and foot stool, Sleeper couch. This Prevost has a Martin 15 Kilowatt Diesel Generator with auto start controls. Generator has only 672 total hours on it. Generator has new recent start battery, and has air bag suspension for quiet and smooth running. The Genset also has a New muffler. Bedroom has a thick and comfortable Queen bed, beneath bed storage, lots of cabinets and drawer storage space thoughout this coach. Coach has Two flat screen TV’s, One DVD player and one VCR, Three station intecom system, main control electrical panel for 12v, 24v and 120 shore power and generator controls, Zip Dee 25 foot main awning, three Zip Dee window awnings, Grey, Black holding tank, Fresh water tank and battery monitoring indicator, 20 gallon marine hot water heater, Front and driver side and passenger side window Sun Shade black window covers, In motion Satellite and Digital TV antennas, All wheels are high polish Alcoa Aluminum with chrome nut covers, full window roman blind treatments inside, Corian Table and countertops in kitchen and bath and window shelf trim, dressing area counter. Large mirrored wardrobe closet in bedroom. Two additional wardrobe closets in hallway. Coach has full size double side by side door refrigerator/freezer w/ice maker. Stove is two burner electric ORIGO (Sweden), Microwave is a New Emerson 1100 watt large capacity. As mentioned before the exterior of this coach is all riveted stainless steel. It is a Silver Sides coach with very highly polished shiny stainless sides and bay doors. The paint and trim paint are in very very good condition, very shiny and no blistering “except” the very upper roof radius on drivers side shows some Clear Coat crazing. There is no paint damage or stainless damage. Front Steering Tires are two years new and have 95%+ rubber left, The drive axle tires are 90%+, and tag axle tires are a bit older and have 85% rubber left. All tires in very good condition. I have the Prevost parts book, and Prevost Owners books for this coach, but I do not have the Angola Conversion owners book. Some things you should take note of in your purchase, price and value assessment of this particular Prevost Coach. I have just had completed a full mechanical systems check on coach including brakes, air system, etc. All were reported in very good condition. This coach has “New” air bags complete as follows: Front bags are two years new, all six rear drive and tag axle bags are brand new in May of this year 2015. Newly replaced level air valves on drive axle in May 2015. Among items recently Replaced are: New Vanner Voltmaster 100 watt battery equalizer. New 12v 130 amp Alternator and belt. New 12v/24v Batteries (4 each) New 12v Inverter Heavy Duty 8D batteries (4 each) New 12v System voltage regulator with noise resistor. New Water Temp and Oil Pressure Sensors (two total) New engine compartment Oil Pressure gauge. New Air bags (all) New Fuel Filter. New Generator Muffler New tow vehicle plug-in…running lights, etc. New Espar Fuel Pump. New 2014 Upholstery, Captains/Drivers Chair, Passenger Chair, both dinette chairs, and some living area decorative panels. *All above replaced and installed in 2014 and 2015. *Note: The engine driven main Air Conditioner compressor (OTR) was replaced new by the previous owner 3 years ago. Mileage then was just under 93,000. Last complete Main Engine and generator oil, and oil and air filter changes was completed at 93,700 miles. Bus just underwent a system service check in Memphis Tennessee in last week of April 2015. All was graded okay. Air system was purged and checked for any leaks. There are no leaks! This Prevo runs excellent! Solid engine and transmission. It has extremely low miles on it, and has been well kept. The Interior furnishings and appurtenances are in excellent condition as is the exterior of this vehicle. It was previously always garaged. Was well maintained. (Previous Owner had a large trucking company and Detroit diesel dealership and qualified mechanics who maintained this bus) This Prevost is priced lower than those Prevost coaches of similar types on the market, that have high existing mileage of over 250,000 to 670,000 miles! This coach is just starting its mileage adventure with only 97,500 miles since new. However, as with everything it does need something!!!! A few “Accessory Items most likely need repair or replacing, updating.. They are as follows: *Rear Camera “MONITOR” probably needs replacing. It is an older model and works when it wants to. Most times it does not like to cooperate. *Dash mounted AM/FM stereo never did work, so it needs updating replacement. *I just apparently burned out the spotlight bulb this season, so someone needs to climb up there and replace the bulb. *The floor mounted electric heater in the bathroom does not operate. I would be willing to bet that I just have not found the correct switch positions to operate it. *As previously mentioned some Clear Coat Crazing on Left extreme upper side radius of coach roof. I will be willing to negotiate the price for the reasonable cost to repair or replace the items in question above. This Coach’s operational system wise, heavy mechanical, etc, is in great condition. I have owned three bus’s in years past, but honestly none have given me the pleasure and pride this Prevo has. It is, I admit, a bit of an Ego trip owning it. 45,000 pounds of rock solid highway machine. In the time I have owned this Prevo, we have traveled mostly in the Southern States of Texas, Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida for winter season. Unfortunately, to my dismay, my eyes and reactions are not what they used to be when I was a young bold airplane pilot. So, it is time to move on down the line for me, to a different life adventure.
