**** ESTATE SALE **** From a southern California ESTATE ........ We are pleased to be offering up for sale a 2011-1/2 THOR Damon ASTORIA KT model 40 foot motor home with 3 slides. We are listing this Coach for the original and only owner's ........ and this Coach has been kept in pristine condition. When not in use it has always been kept inside a garage and nothing keeps a RV nicer than keeping it inside. This is what a 2011 model can look like when it is kept indoors when not traveling. This Coach has not been smoked in and it has not had any pets or children inside of it. There are no odors inside this Coach except the smell of leather and hardwood. It smells like new. There is a EXTENDED Warranty in place until June of 2017 that can be assumed for a small fee ... Senior citizen owned and pampered and at the bottom of this listing you can watch a slideshow with over 150 recent photos of this Coach. The original retail price of this Coach was $240,320.00 and then the owners added about $8,000.00 worth of extras and equipment after the purchase. Today this Coach books out on the N.A.D.A. website at about $170,000.00 when outfitted with the extra's............. Since this is a 2011-1/2 model, most information for this model Coach is available on-line. All of the original books and operating manuals go with the Coach to the new owner. This Damon ASTORIA 40 2011-1/2 model came very well equipped but the owners added even more to make it nicer. A Splendide washer and dryer has been professionally installed at a cost of $2,000.00 ........ and this gives you much more washing capacity when compared to a combo unit. They also added 3 additional exterior awnings, and had a satellite system installed on the roof ........ plus a queen sized leather sleeper sofa inside has replaced 2 free standing chairs to give you more of a living room feel ....... and you have 2 folding chairs to add to the dining table and the 2 standard chairs. The Coach also has a invisible bra over the front end paint to protect the finish. This is NOT your grandfathers RV! ......... This is a luxury vehicle designed for you to travel in high style and not be lacking anything. It has 3 flat screen TV sets, cherry wood cabinetry, side by side refrigerator/freezer, porcelain tile floors and top quality leather furnishing. Take the time to watch the slideshow we have prepared and you will see that this Coach has everything you can think of in order to make traveling the country a pleasurable and luxurious experience. THOR Motor Coach is the parent company who builds these Coaches. They have long been industry leaders in quality as well as fit and finish. THOR made some major changes and upgrades 1/2 way through the 2011 production year on this ASTORIA model and this Coach is listed on the original build sheet as a 2011-1/2. The interior was given many upgrades over the earlier models as was the exterior paint. This exterior full body paint scheme is what appears on the more expensive Tuscany models and did NOT re-appear in 2012. The exterior of this Coach is all paint and not decals. The factory calls this full body finish "Champagne Ice". A very expensive finish and it has been kept nice by being stored inside. This Coach measures 39'10" in length without the rear ladder. Many of the "NEW" features on this 2011-1/2 ASTORIA appeared on the more expensive TUSCANY models ........ One of the unusual features on this Coach is the large picture window located just behind the drivers seat. Take a look at this in the slide show and you will see this oversize window. The extra sun shade awnings added by the owners allow you to keep the sun off the glass when parked and still see out of the Coach. This Coach is constructed on a Freightliner chassis and is powered by a ISB-XT 6.7 litre 360 horsepower turbo-charged Cummins diesel engine which is coupled to a 6 speed Allison MH-3000 transmission. This is a state of the art chassis and power plant..........It is smooth running and has more than enough power. All operating systems are in working order. The owners always towed a full size Jeep when traveling and have averaged 11 miles per gallon on the highway and 9 miles to the gallon around town. The 2 front Goodyear tires are brand new with less than 300 miles on them. The 4 rear Goodyear tires are original and because this Coach is kept indoors ....... there is no cracking or de-lamination. The rear tires have 20,600 miles on them. This ASTORIA is a turn key rolling resort that is in ready to travel condition. It is is a quality vehicle that will give the buyer years of service. With a 100 gallon fuel capacity you will have plenty of range with this ASTORIA. Mechanically this Coach is state of the art in every way. The suspension gives you a ride like a expensive luxury car ... (think Mercedes Benz) ... and the steering is light and precise with no play in the steering wheel. I think anyone can learn to drive this Coach and feel comfortable doing so. Outside you have ample storage compartments and a slide-out luggage tray which will open on either side of the Coach ........ plus all of your water and sewer hook-ups and a outside shower as you will see when you watch the slideshow. The exterior paint and finish of this Coach is like new as is the roof area. The inside of this Coach is as plush as the outside and the fit and finish is top shelf. The Cherry wood cabinetry rivals any high end home. The upholstered headliner keeps this Coach quiet, even at highway speeds ....... and you have 85 inches of interior headroom. The THOR Coaches of this era have a very high rating for interior fit and finish. Starting in the rear stateroom you have a king sized bed with storage under the bed. You have a large 2 door mirrored wardrobe closet on the rear bulkhead and the washer and dryer unit is installed to the left of that. This washer/dryer is a big upgrade from the combo units as the capacity is larger and you can get the laundry done in half the time. On the wall opposite the bed you have a large flat screen TV and a dresser with ample storage on the wall below that. In addition to the flat screen TV in the rear cabin, you have multiple lighting and window shade choices and you can control multiple functions from the rear stateroom including the starting or turning off of the generator. As you move forward into the bathroom area you have a sink with mirrored vanity on your left and a private toilet area behind a privacy door. The shower is large and has a skylight above it letting in natural light. The faucet fixtures in the bathroom and the galley area have been upgraded by the original owners. This description will make more sense once you have watched the slideshow. You have sliding pocket doors for privacy on either side that can close off the rear stateroom or the galley area while someone is in the bathroom/shower area As you move into the main living salon you have a full galley on the passenger side wall and a dining area on your left before you get to a white leather sofa. In the galley you have a side by side stainless refrigerator/freezer with ice maker, 3 burner cook-top and a stainless microwave/convection oven. The cook-top and the 2 section enameled sink have covers to give you more counter space when they are not in use. The porcelain tile floor makes it much easier to keep the interior of this Coach clean as opposed to older Coaches with carpeted floors. The leather sleeper air bed sofa's are very comfortable and you have a large Sony flat screen TV in the main cabin plus a RCA Theatre system with excellent sound. The owners are leaving with the Coach many items including lamps, interior rugs, ottomans, tables, pillows and more that make the interior even nicer. Most of these items can be seen in the photo slide show. The Onan 8.0 kilowatt generator has just over 300 hours on hour meter and it starts easily and runs quietly. The generator is so quiet that you have no problem at all watching the outside flat screen TV while it is running. Everything on this Coach is first cabin and somebody ..... (WHY NOT YOU ?) ..... is going to make a great buy on a quality class A THOR motor home. You simply will not find a cleaner or better kept 2011 model available for sale and with a assumable extended warranty ....... that takes the gamble out of the deal! The extended warranty is a XtraRide Paltinum MHM and the term is 72 months which began June 17th 2011 and runs until June of 2017........This can be assumed for a small fee ($100.00) and the buyer would be smart to take advantage of this. TERMS of SALE: We require a $2,000.00 deposit within 48 hours and we require full payment within 10 days of the listing end without exception. PayPal is fine for the deposit but not the balance. For the balance we would prefer a Bank to Bank wire-transfer or you can send by FedEx or Priority mail a check if you prefer. If we are in contact with your Bank or Credit Union and it takes a extra day or two ..... it will not be a problem. Prospective buyers in need of financing should start talking to their Bank or lending institution before they place a bid and not after.
