1947 Westwood Tahoe Vintage TrailerThis is a super rare Vintage travel trailer, made for only two years, it is a Westcraft 1947 Tahoe model. The roof is actually in decent condition, because these coaches were so well built it has stood the test of time and there isn’t a lot of damage that you would associate with a trailer this age. The original cabinetry is still in place, the undercarriage looks solid as. The floor will need replaced. Look at the pictures carefully. · Aluminum skin is very good shape for the age and conditions of the trailer. It was painted from the factory and paint is peeling and can be stripped easily. · There are a few panels with minor damage that can repaired by a competent metal person. The beauty of this unit is the panels where screwed on rather than riveted. This makes it easy to remove the panels and work the metal. · If I kept the trailer I was going to disassemble the walls and replace the flooring then replace the wall studs then reinstall the skin. · The interior wood had been painted white, too bad, as this will have to stripped and refinished. This unit has the built up doors not the single plywood doors which is what the 47’s had. · Door and windows need to work. It had been broken in at one time during its life. · Floor framework is good condition. I was going to have it powder coated when I stripped the old floor off before reinstalling the floor. · Original manufactures model tag with registration number as well as correct number on tounge. · Unit is currently registered in California with title and current tags.
