This is an excellent condition 2008 Wells Cargo 44 foot goose neck trailer, model AWG4439. It is 102 inches wide and is a deck over, so the wheel wells do not protrude into the trailer. It has 37 feet of floor space before you get to the rise at the front end. The tires are in great condition as are the brakes and everything works as it should. It weighs 6926 lbs (calculated by subtracting the maximum allowable cargo weight of 15574 pounds from the gross vehicle weight restriction of 22,500 pounds), which means plenty of carrying capacity. This trailer tows like a dream and is a very impressive looking rig. It has been well taken care of and the paint is still in great shape. There is not a spare tire included and the crank (see last photo) for jacking up the front of the trailer is missing (we used a wrench). The rear ramp door opening is approximately 85 inches wide and at least 79 1/2 inches high. However, the cable assist which helps the door close is narrower, only 82 inches of width and there are metal brackets mounted onto the inside of the door which hold the cables onto the door and those brackets have metal plates which come up about an inch from the door and there is 81 inches of width between these bracket plates (tire tread width allowance). There is also a side door on this trailer which can be opened from the inside or the outside. This trailer is wood lined throughout and does not get as hot as you would expect on the inside, even though there are not roof vents. Wells Cargo are the Mercedes Benz of trailers so if you are looking for a cheap trailer made by immigrant labor in Florida, this is not your trailer. If however you are an advocate of quality without compromise, Wells Cargo trailers are as good as they get.
