This is a TRITON AUT1282 aluminum utility trailer set up to haul 2 full size motorcycles. The Bike-Pro chocks are removable so you can haul golf carts, UTVs, ATVs, lawn mowers, side-by-sides, purchases from Lowe's, whatever. The bed is 12 feet long and 6 & 1/2 feet wide.......much larger than many other utility trailers so you can carry wide loads or multiple vehicles. Full width rear ramp. The trailer has the stronger A frame tongue design for added support, weight distribution and strength for those heavier loads. Dexter torsion axle. No brakes. Weighs about 760 pounds and has a carrying capacity of 2,235 pounds. Total of 2,995 pounds. IF the trailer had brakes, the carrying capacity would be 2,740 pounds. The ST215/75R14 radial tires on galvanized rims have less than 100 miles on them. Brand new matching spare. Full length locking toolbox. Twelve Triton adjustable tie-downs and four removable swivel ring tie-downs. 2 Bike-Pro chrome wheel removable motorcycle chocks with the front rim cross-strap tie-down feature. All new LED lights purchased from Triton. Standard 2" hitch ball coupler and standard 4 wire electric hook-up. I added the full width fiberglass rock shield/air dam that was originally on a big truck. The air dam has minor scratches and imperfections but could be painted if you choose. New wheel bearings and races. Not just new grease, but all new wheel bearings purchased from Triton. If you don't need or want the wheel chocks, the toolbox, the air dam, the tie-downs, and the new spare tire, let me know and the price will be adjusted accordingly. Clear South Carolina title in my name. Although the trailer year is 2007, it has many new parts and is made of high-strength aluminum that will never rust. New this trailer sells for over $3,000 WITHOUT the options this one has. Thanks for your interest. Please send name and phone number so I can call you to answer any questions. ITEM IS FOR SALE LOCALLY so I may cancel this listing at any time prior to sale on Ebay. DON'T delay if interested. Please check out my feedback and bid with confidence. No shipping. Trailer must be picked up in Lake Wylie, South Carolina 29710. Lake Wylie is a suburb of Charlotte, North Carolina and convenient to I-85 and I-77. For an additional fee, I might be able to meet you somewhere along your route. Contact me to discuss this option PRIOR to purchase. Normal wear and tear for year. Fiberglas air dam was originally on a big truck and has scratches and minor stress fractures, but nothing serious. Air dam could be repainted if you are really particular and it would look good-as-new. Many new parts including wheel bearings, LED lights, and radial tires with fewer than 100 miles mounted on galvanized rims. Aluminum trailer deck will be cleaned prior to delivery.

HAL - LUNAR ROVER - CONCEPT: The Concept of building a “Retro Lunar Rover” was Influenced by a passion for 1960’s Science Fiction. HAL derives his name after the Computer aboard the Space Ship Discovery One in Stanley Kubrick’s 2001 A Space Odyssey. Additional design inspiration came from the 1960’s Sci-fi series, Lost in Space. A: Yes. I have been building Mutant vehicles for Burning for many years and I am available to build new vehicles. I presently have only One build slot available for a 2016. Q: How much does it cost to build a Mutant Vehicle for Burning Man? A: $50,000-$250,000 In all honesty, It is very difficult to build a low budget “High Concept” mutant vehicle and get it approved for Burning Man. The Criteria for Mutant Vehicles is extensive as is the application process through the DMV (Department of Mutant Vehicles) Most of the reputable Mutant vehicle builders I know quote an entry level Mutant vehicle at $50,000. You could build one yourself for less of course, but you will need great concept, a shop space, tooling and several hundred hours of your own non paid personal time to make it happen. Q:How much did it cost to build HAL? We have $45,000 in actual hard costs invested in HAL. This excludes my personal time to concept, apply for entry, design and build the vehicle. Q: I want an ART Car Like HAL, how much would that cost? A: To Build you another mutant vehicle the same scale and scope as HAL would cost $65,000-$70,000. So, HAL priced at $44,950 would be an excellent value for someone looking for a “High Concept” turn key Mutant vehicle for the Burn. Q; Why does it cost so much? A: Not all Art Cars are created equal and you most certainly get what you paid for. To Build an art Car like HAL takes hundreds of man hours and a dedication to engineering a vehicle that will be reliable and preform in the harsh high desert environment. The last thing an art car owner wants to be doing on the the playa is spending their time fixing and keeping the vehicle running and operational. Q: How long does it take to build a Mutant Vehicle? A: Getting a substantial Mutant vehicle approved for Burning Man and built within a limited timeline on budget is not for the faint of heart. Planning typical starts 10-12 months prior to The Burn. The DMV (Department of Mutant vehicles) for Burning Man requires and very through application and submission process. 3d drawings, a full concept and a website will increase your chances of approval. Only vehicles that meet their extensive criteria are approved for entry into the event. Q: Surely you could build a Mutant Vehicle for less money and time, right? There are low-concept (Golf Carts with fur) cruising around Burning Man. A: Yes and No. Despite well intentioned first time applicants, It is well know that the DMV rejects a large percentage of the applications due to lack of experience with the application process and the concepts falling short of the mutation criteria. Many of the “Low Concept” “Art cars” you see at buring man are actually approved only for “handicap transportation” Long gone are the days of getting a moderately modified golf cart approved at Burning Man. Everyone wants to have some cool form of personal transportation at Burning Man and the DMV knows this. They have definitely raised the bar on what qualifies as mutated vehicle. Q: So, why are you selling HAL? A: We are selling HAL to raise capital to build our new Mutant Vehicle debuting on the Playa at Burning Man 2016. Q: If I want to buy HAL, can I hire you to customize and or add additional items i.e.- larger sound system, more lights, flame effects, Lasers, a concept trailer to pull behind Hal for all my friends, etc? A: Sure. That’s what we do. :) Please call to discuss the many options. Q: Can you deliver HAL to me? A: Yes, delivery is an option. Please call to discuss. If you are interested becoming HAL’s new commander for his future missions on the playa, or have any questions please feel free to call me direct. Respectfully, Darin G. 503-939-9397

Make HMV Freeway
Posted Over 1 Month
There is a story floating around the web of someone who bought a Freeway new, drove it and had it crushed so it would never have a chance to be driven again. Although the story is probably as reliable as the internet gets, the Freeway’s reputation is not totally undeserved. Even after all the work done on this one, it would still rank in my book as the worst production vehicle in modern times anywhere in the world. The Freeway was the brainchild of a Minnesotan who wanted to build a car capable of 100 mpg and bring it to market. He came out with the HMV Freeway (HMV stands for High Mileage Vehicle). They could be ordered with different powerplants including Electric and Diesel but most were delivered with a 12 or 16 HP Tecumseh engine. This engine is the same big cast-iron behemoth found on large 1970’s era rototillers. As could be expected from a state that has to endure winter 8 months of the year, power is delivered to the rear wheel through a Snowmobile transmission which propels the contraption to somewhere around 60mph. If that does not seem to be all that fast, driving one at that speed will change your mind quickly. The Freeway supposedly is able to do 100 mpg if you run it around 40mph all the time. Since I like people waving at me with more than one finger while passing me, I try hard to go faster and, as a result, 100 mpg has been elusive Road handling in the stock version is atrocious, a high center of gravity and low weight distribution on the front wheels made for hair raising cornering ability and the transmission design makes driving on ice an act of lunacy as the wheel would start spinning faster on ice. Brakes and the likes are from long obsolete golf cart suppliers and the supplemental cooling system for the engine consists of a pump pushing hot oil to a heater core in the cabin, guaranteeing heat in the summer. They were available in many (Yellow and Orange) base gelcoat colors but the later models came with custom paint jobs as options. This one was repainted a beautiful blue with Grey bottom half much later in life and still looks pretty darn good. About 700 Freeways were built in the early eighties and at least one went to a celebrity of sorts as I’ve been told Superhost from channel 43 in Cleveland had one… Since I saw him on TV during my formative years, that’s celebrity enough in my book. I’ve had this vehicle now for about 4 years. I bought it from a school in Illinois. It had resided in that town all its life and had seen three owners, although the third one was the same as the first. The body had been repainted and looked spectacular but the unit had almost 14,000 miles on it. After bringing it to its new home, I immediately took it for a quick spin. It was a mistake. At around 25mph, the car started going anywhere but down the street and brake action was more like a weak suggestion to slow down so it was babied back to the shop where major repairs were started. There is still a healthy following by people who are very much committed to the preservation of this quirky vehicle and a guy named Jim has made it his passion to seek out and sell some of the harder to find parts. He provided me with a new rear brake assembly, new front brake cylinders, a new driven clutch and belt, a new master cylinder and some other bits. The rear suspension came from a motorcycle shop. I believe they are from a Harley Davidson and they sure were priced as such. The front suspension on the stock Freeway has no Castor which is part of the reason for the awful ride on the original units. There is a guy in Hawaii who made a kit he aptly named F.A.R.T. (Freeway automotive racing team). It improves travel, wheel tracking, suspension and some other issues. These kits are exceedingly hard to get anymore. It took me a year before mine finally came but it did help out the ride a whole lot. The front shocks were replaced with new units from a Chrysler 300 and machined to fit. New tires finished it off for the time being but after driving it for a while, the engine, now with close to 15,000 miles on it, came out for a good going over. I brought it to a local mower shop that still had people familiar with the old 12HP Tecumseh and they bored the cylinder, replaced the piston, valves and valve guides as well as all seals. After the engine was rebuilt, I took the rear drum, which still had some pulsing in it, and but it on a brake lathe for the second time. It did not help and the rear brake still pulses. This Freeway also comes with a 7-gallon tank, enough to drive all the way back to Minnesota from Ohio if you so desire. It also comes with two side windows and the rubber needed to put them back in in case you like that roasting feeling in the summer. Although the interior could use some attention, it is mechanically in excellent shape. The Freeway is not the only quirky vehicle that needs my attention and I’m not playing with it a lot anymore. Today was the first time this year I took it out. Living your life in a heated garage comes at a cost and there is only so much space and attention to go around. It’s time for someone else to love it for its quirkiness, tolerate it for its shortcomings and, more than anything, take it out and play with it, especially since there are not a lot of them on the road anymore. It has a clear title and the serial number is 3660G81

We import all of our trucks and vans as off-road utility vehicles. We sell them as off-road utility vehicles. There are some states, however, that do allow off-road utility vehicles on roads, with limited use restrictions. We sell mini trucks and mini vans manufactured by Suzuki, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Subaru, Mazda and Daihatsu. Our customers include farmers, ranchers, dairies, golf courses, municipalities, zoos, ski resorts, amusement parks, outfitters, hunters, nurseries, maintenance companies, snow removal companies, schools, oil field contractors and many others. All of our customers are looking for something better than the standard expensive utility vehicle, side-by-side, UTV, ATV or golf cart. When customers compare us to the John Deere Gator, Polaris Ranger, Kawasaki Mule,Kubota RTV and other utility vehicles, they report that the mini truck wins hands down for their purposes. These UTVs and side-by-sides do not compare, especially when looking at the specifications for power, safety, convenience, payload capacity and price. Unlike utility vehicles and ATVs, mini trucks come standard with enclosed heated cabs, pick up beds with drop down sides and payload capacity of 900 lbs. Standard equipment includes heat, 4WD, lights, turn signals, seat belts, windshield wipers and equipment similar to any pickup truck. Options such as A/C, power steering and dump beds are also available. We can customize your vehicle with features such as scissor lifts, camouflage wrap, tinted windows, lift kits, off-road tires, custom wheels, brush guards, roll bars, front and rear hitches and much more. If we do not have what you are looking for in our current inventory, contact us and we will find your perfect truck. We at Eaton Mini Trucks are also happy to help you with all your mini truck parts and service needs. Rare FMC 29' class A motor coach with Dodge 440 gas pusher. If you're not familiar with the FMC Motor Coach then do a internet search and learn more about this luxury coach. Though very few were made they have a great history. It was top of the line motor coach selling upwards of $54K in early - mid 70's. These low profile coaches had fully independent suspension making it one the smoothest and best handling coaches made. I had plans of driving this beauty around the country but recently received an overseas job offer and not sure I want this sitting, unused in storage. So regretfully I am selling. It has 39,550 documented miles and as you can see by the description below has gone through and extensive restoration and redesign with many modern upgrades. If you're looking for all original FMC then this is not for you. This coach, which has resided in Arizona or Nevada its entire life, went through an extensive renovation by second owner ( a professor of electrical engineering) between the years 1996-2007. The reason for the low mileage. The coach was gutted and both the interior and undercarriage were completely redesigned along with an extensive engine rebuild (currently 5500 on rebuild) and transmission upgraded. After the coach was finished the owner became ill and therefore did not use it much. He passed away some time later and it sat in storage for 7 years. 1996-2007The following was added, changed and or upgraded during this period.Coach was completely rewired with new wiring.Wired for cable/satellite and phone. All new hardwood (beechwood) cabinets throughout the coachFlooring with sub-floorNew roofAll new Peninsula insulated windows with screens. It is 31" long. There is another under fridge. These drawers were not included in total indoor storage listed above. New heating system (diesel Webasto) with heat exchanges throughout the coach. This system also heats the water. There is a separate Hott Rod element hot water system with 15 gallon hot water tank.Shurflo water pump.New Traveler China toilet..New kitchen and bathroom sinks with faucetsAll new plumbing throughout Yale door locksAccuride exterior heavy duty storage drawer.Fan-Tastic Vent fan All new interior lights Penguin rooftop air conditionerNorCal 2 way refrigerator with separate freezer.Princess Electric Ceran stove topEngine bay soundproofed ($3000)Auxiliary engine bay fan.Larger 6 core radiator.Fuel and vacuum hoses.Transmission cooler New fresh, grey and black water tanks90 gallon fuel tankCarter electric fuel pumpHolley fuel regulatorGenerac 6600 watt Generator (1 hour of use!)2800 watt Inverter/chargerJacobs high capacity energy coilPerko Auto boxSolar panels were installed but are no longer available.Ladder on rear has been removed to clean up look. In place of it PO installed handles/step by rear window and above it on roof (see first photo). EngineI have the work order of complete engine rebuild which details all parts and labor. Final bill was over $11k (1998 prices). Includes all FMC service and parts manuals. 2014-2015I purchased this coach about a year ago and have made the following repairs and upgrades.New Edelbrock carburetor New Pro Form electronic distributor New Tuff Stuff high torque Denso gear reduction starter.New Optima 12V starter battery4 new 6V golf cart domestic batteries (in vented compartment with generator, inverter, etc.)50% of fuel hoses70% of vacuum hosesFuel pressure regulatorCustom set of 8.5 mm MSD ignition wires.Ceramic spark plug bootsPlugsGenerator serviced (oil, filters, etc)Webasto fuel pump cleaned, all fuel lines and filters replaced.New Ventline bath fan. BrakesNew shoes- all wheelsAll new Bendix wheel cylinders - all wheelsNew, correct master cylinder.New distribution blockBoth Hydro-vac boosters rebuilt.Brake lines where needed.4 rubber brake wheel cylinder hoses. WheelsAll new inner and outer wheel bearings with seals - all wheels. All glass is perfect with no chips or cracks. Two of fixed windows have some fogging.Tri-color paint is new. Again, this not a complete list of work I have done. The table in the photos has been refinished. It folds up and slides into exterior storage. Never any accidents or even dings. Body is in excellent shape for the year. Couple spots where the sun has cracked paint. Darker paint could use a buffing and wax. White paint shines like new with buffing and wax. Never any water leakage except for the bedroom window. This window has been resealed and all windows have been recaulked. Roof has never leaked. Besides tires it needs some cosmetic work here and there. Some of the window shades need attention or just replacing. Couple tears in sofa vinyl. Tiny heat crack in counter top by kitchen sink. Bedroom AC started making funky noise so that will need to be looked at. I can send more photos of anything (engine, interior, repairs, etc.) If high bidder is looking to have this coach shipped I know a person with proper flat bed that will probably give a good rate. Just contact me in advance. Terms and Conditions:This seller makes no guarantees in sale of this coach. It is the sole responsibility of bidders to do their own inspection BEFORE the auction ends. This coach runs like a champ but it is a 1976 and things happen (though many parts are much newer than 1976). Of course if there is a failure of a part that was installed recently I will do my best to get item replaced. High bidder will get all receipts for parts installed in the last year. And lastly if you have questions then ask BEFORE the auction ends. Responsibility of high bidder to arrange shipping though as I stated above I am willing to help facilitate getting coach to its new home. For international bidders For international shipments; seller takes no responsibility for items lost or stolen in transit. Your insurance will cover that.
I am trying to think if I forgot something up at the condition section. The tires have plenty of tread left...75% at least. Fridge is both gas and electric with auto switch. Water heater and camper heater work as does the cab dash air. Both ac's will run you out ! COLD ! I caught the water leaks in time and other than regular stuff that will go wrong...this is ready and HAS been used as we have a Thousand Trails membership and camp often. There is also a WONDERFUL aluminum locking rear bumper box that holds all the septic hose, leveling blocks, water hoses etc... All the goodies I paid well over a thousand dollars for. This rear box is a wonderful addition ! Oh yes....the awning tension spring has sprung so you have to put it up by hand but the fabric has a few more seasons left in it and I was going to wait if I keep it. Also, the steps when you get on sag on the left side. I looked at it and it just needs some wood replaced to shore it up. Im not in a rush to sell but the wife and I have talked about going full-time camping and we wanted a toy hauler because Im on oxygen and have to rent a golf cart every where we camp. Slide outs would be nice as she is always bringing along the grand-kids and sons and daughter-in laws. She gets company because Im not able to do so much except enjoy the scenery....read...watch t.v. and such when we go. This camper is a nice in-expensive..starter for a family of 4-5 easily that will not let you down. As I said....the engine and trans. is wonderful!! Hardly used but sometimes sitting is the WORST thing for a vehicle you can do...That's why we had so many things to fix in the first year we had it. Door slides..stops..heater valves..etc just were not made to sit so they had to be replaced. However, now with 5 camping trips minimum,,,3000 miles or better, and everything eventually needed to use...we found out what was working and used them constantly. They held us and are at present like new ! You will not be disappointed. I have a certain amount of money tied up with all the parts and a 4000.00 roof so Im just looking to break even, raid my 401k after the 1st and look for a toy hauler with slides. Located RIGHT at the Md. Pa. De. corner. We can almost spit and hit all three states from my house. Will listen to offers but Im not going to lose money. I looked for a solid year to find a great R.V. and price so you also will be getting a good one for a nice price. Thanks and God Bless all and the U.S.A. ! Oh...By the way.....my wife reminded me we are camping again soon so shes upset about it being cleaned. I will NOT be able to show it or entertain offers till Tue. the 22nd. That will give her and myself some time to clean it. Sorry
This bus was renovated with much love and with the goal of creating a cozy, mobile living space that doesn't feel cheap and smell like plastic. The result is a rustic, cozy cabin on wheels. My wife and I spent 6 months renovating, and another 5 months traveling in this beloved bus. If interested, you can check out an in depth build out of the bus at bellinghambybus.wordpress.com or on Instagram and Facebook: @bellinghambybus Also, please feel free to ask questions and request specific pictures. So much we into making Lady Buster (yes, we named her) that I'm sure I missed something. Our "buy it now" price is our starting point, but all serious offers will be considered. Especially to the right person or couple seeking something diiferent from life. The bus is a Bluebird body on a Chevy p30 chassis. The p30 chassis has been used for buses, delivery vans, and RVs for years. So, parts are cheap and accessible. The body has minor rust, but is very structurely sound. The one area that has been affected by rust is the stairs, due to tracking in salt during winter. These were next on my to do list, along with the shower. This leaves some room for customization while having a 90% complete conversion. I also have tile, mortar and grout for completing the shower that I will include. The motor is a 6.2L Detroit/GM diesel. This engine runs well and hardly uses any oil, but will need some glow plugs before it gets cold ($50 on ebay). Although these engines aren't known for power they are known for dependebility and fuel economy (I est. around 15 mpg). The bus also has a rebuilt AT with OD that is still under warranty. What I have completed toward conversion so far: - 6 × new tires (only 5000 miles on them)-1 1/2 Owens Corning polyiso insulation in ceiling and walls.-3/4 foil backed insulation in floor-3/4 t&g plywood subfloor -5/16 manufactured hardwood floor-2 × 160 watt Grape solar panels-30 amp Morningstar pro-star controller-2 × 12v 160aH Napa golf cart batteries-Custom Pine beadboard ceiling -Sur-flo on demand water pump with accumulator tank-Queen size mattress frame w/ storage underneath -too many little things to list. We are really sad to have to part with our beloved bus that we've come to affectionately know as Lady Buster. We purchased the bus from the previous owners in Kansas City, MO. They had traveled around the country selling their art at festivals and living the good life. They were hearbroken to see her go, but must of trusted us to take good care of her. When we took her home, we instantly knew we had taken possesion of something special and it has changed us in untold ways for the better. Now life has presented a new challenge as we get ready for a new member of our family to arrive we have to sacrifice something we truly love. So we want to pass on this chance for future nomads and explorers to find what's important in life through the use of our trust, Lady Buster.
