Recreation: The natural springs, nearby Lake George This is a gorgeous lake, second largest in Florida, and has the bonus of a clearwater salt spring just 5 miles north from Astor. The St John's river runs through, which is a feast of wildlife and magnificent tropical trees. It flows all the way from Sanford through to downtown Jacksonville and the ocean! Seems almost forgotten by the people of Florida. It is wilderness and wildlife at it's best..
