We've adored this motor home for the past 8 years and now we're selling it to start our daughter's college funds! About 13,000 were built thru the mid-70's, and about 8000 of these campers are still on the road. This coach was made completely by GMC, from the chassis and the drive train to the fiberglass body and interior. We bought it with 82,400 miles from a retired gentleman who re-did everything short of a frame-off RV restoration. The updated interior is in perfect shape and has never been smoked in. It has 94807 miles on it now. Sleeps 5 comfortably. The Oldsmobile 455 engine powers the Toronado front-wheel drive train with a surprising amount of power. Easily climbs hills on the highway, usually without the 4-speed auto transmission shifting. The interior has been updated and just about EVERYTHING works as it should. The 4 KW Onan Generator runs great, but stopped producing electricity on a road trip last year. It probably needs new brushes or something simple like that, but I have not had the time to dive into it.-Clean title in hand.-6 brand new tires and professional wheel polish in May 2013. We always keep covers on the wheels/tires when parked.-7 aluminum Alcoa wheels (6 on the road, 1 spare).-New brake rotor and wheel bearing on front axle - passenger side.-HUGE full-length Zip-Dee patio awning on the passenger side, and we're including a matching uninstalled full-length "window" awning for the driver's side.-Full gas tanks (about 50 gallons).-2 new chassis batteries in April 2011.-Smart charger on house batteries that maintains battery integrity (doesn't over-charge or let voltage get too low).-Coaxial cable run throughout the interior so you can hook up to cable TV at campsites.-Custom-made GMC light shade over dinette.-All windows have blinds, windshield has a full-width curtain and exterior button-on cover (for use at campsites).-Updated side-view mirrors.-All plumbing updated to PVC (from copper) and whole system/water pump works as it should, no leaks.-Macerator hooked to black water lines. It grinds everything and you dump the system through A GARDEN HOSE! Very cool =)-Carrier rooftop A/C unit cools whole coach wonderfully - shroud cover is cracked, but that doesn't effect A/C performance.-2 rooftop MaxxAire Fans that allow you to keep roof vents open all year thru rain/snow/whatever.-2 extra mounted fans for driver and front passenger seat. -Propane stove top and thermostat-controlled furnace.-Updated microwave that doubles as a conventional oven (has original manual).-Under-cabinet toaster oven. -Custom made sliding screen door that flows with the contours of the coach.-Awesome updated leather captain's chairs in the cockpit, and both spin around to rear-facing for when you're camping.-Air-ride rear suspension makes for an awesome smooth ride, and also acts as a leveling system at the camp site! We're including the original Dana compressor that needs to be rebuilt. Right now both air bags operate independently with schrader valves. When parked, we let the air out of the bags and set the frame on wood blocks so the airbags are free of the coach's weight. This helps the air bags to last a LONG, LONG time.-We kept the chassis nice and greased, and jacked the coach at each lube so the grease would flow into all components. Frame is in perfect shape, no rust whatsoever.-TONS of literature included as well as a huge original maintenance manual.-Lots of extra parts/lights/tools. Pretty much anything we have that is GMC Motorhome related will be included with the coach.-Some great plates/bowls/cups/mixing bowls included in the cabinets... LOTS of overhead storage!I would put my family in this thing and drive across the country tomorrow, so I'm confident that it will make it to wherever you live... it's road ready! Send me a message with any questions. I'll give you my phone number too if you want to have a conversation about it. We're more than willing to have you come see it as well. We would prefer a check or cash when you come to take delivery of the motorhome and do the title transfer. Thanks for looking!!

I have this late model 1976 GMC Palm Beach motorhome. I'm looking for a new home for it because my Mom wants to start downsizing. My parents purchased it back in 1999. Second owner. It's been covered the whole time and the interior has always been heated. The previous owner had also had the coach garaged. (In Scottsdale, Arizona). It doesn't currently run. It might just need batteries to get it running or another simple fix. What I do know is that it's been about 10 or 11 years since it's last trip and it was running fine then. For now, it would have to be towed out of the garage. So, it would be good if you had AAA. Unless, you happen to have your own extra batteries that we could try to start it with. Some of the things my Dad wanted to have checked out and didn't get a chance to before he passed away were: He mentioned that he wanted to have the generator looked at because it was leaking some oil. He said it may need some new house batteries and possibly some air bags for the wheels. The coach does need a new fridge. The body of the motorhome still looks really good. Obviously, there is some ware and tear around the coach in different places. The upholstery is in good shape too. There were new tires put on it about 11 or 12 years ago. My parents had driven on the new tires for only one trip. There was a complete professional restoration done on the whole GMC in Florida back in 1996 by Jim Bounds at GMC Coop. $70,000 was invested. It has 16,459 miles on it since the restoration. Here's a list below of what was done on the restoration: (Obviously, several of the items on the list will need some attention). Completely stripped and painted Alcoa wheels and Goodyear G159 rated tires Air bags and air lines Caspro shocks and brakes All new gas lines, filters and Aux, electric fuel pump Wallace hubs and bearings Remote transmission stick (under hood) Duotherm roof A/C A/C compressor for dash air Auxiliary A/C with ducts in bath and two in cabin runs off engine compressor Bumper inserts through the bumper receiver hitch Tire cover All exterior lights (New style GM front running lights) Electric Ramco mirrors with turning lights Rosen Industries shaded sun visors Electric key operated macerator and dump valve Crank down dump with attached hose inside Updated refridgerator vent cover Water tank- holding tank with remote washer Ragusa folding hi-polish step, tranny cover, wind vents Ragusa dual slide out battery tray for generator compartment Updated tail lights with Halogen bulbs Updated rectangular headlights with black bulbs Hot water heater Skylight in bath and bath vent Two fantastic roof vents Omni directional antenna Cobra mike controlled CB and antenna All new rubber gaskets, seals and felt around all windows and door Generator removed and compartment lined with lead filled insulation Onan 6000 generator reconditioned LP tank reconditioned and compartment lined with lead filled insulation Lights in all exterior compartments All new interior seating with recliner front seats (Simulated leather) All new interior lighting (Spot lights for reading over seats) Hunter Douglas micro mini blinds (One side white, one side black Simulated leather covered valances Wireless remote controlled AM/FM CD player with 12 disc changer Mac's instrument panel/gauges (10), gauges include dual air Galley faucet/sprayer and separate filtered water Counter tops Water pump and accumulator Recessed two burner cook top (Covered to match counter) Sharp micro-convection oven Wiring and AC/DC breaker panel All speakers plus 4 added with pot switches Full length Zip Dee awnings on both sides with Twinky light tubes Twinky light tubes in windows and along the floor AC/DC gas refrigerator Fan clutch, gates, belts and hoses Exhaust system (Pipes and mufflers) GMC leather wrapped steering wheel Remote door-lock, unlock, lights and alarm system Monitor panel and switches Carpet and headliner Raised rear bed with lots of storage underneath Both front drive lines completely rebuilt with new rubber boots and bolts Rebuilt steering box and wheel alignment Dual gell cell engine batteries with aluminum battery tray Rebuilt generator board   If you're passionate about classic GMCs and would like to get this out on the road after some TLC, please contact Ross Andrews with questions or to take a look. It lives in Port Ludlow. Even though this beautiful coach  needs some attention in some areas,  it's still a really good, well kept set of bones - a fantastic core with lots of potential. Thanks for your interest! 206-301-9999 $25,000.00 is the price on it.
