2005 MERHOW VERYLITE FIFTH WHEEL HORSE TRAILER This trailer had an insurance company pay out a claim to the previous owner for damage to the unit. There were some structural welds that were not completed correctly causing the front of the trailer to fail. The substructure has been temporarily repaired, so it could be pulled. To complete the repairs on the trailer the welds would have to be correctly done and reinforced. WBT–620 Bulk Transport Trailer The Wilco designed and manufactured WBT–620 has two 310 cu. ft. pneumatic vessels and utilizes a diesel powered air compressor to provide air to the twin tanks as well as pneumatic loading and unloading of materials.The trailer was loaded through the rear tank man-way with 10,000 pounds of construction cement. During each test, the tanks were discharged through the trailer discharge manifold into a 4.5 inch I.D. rubber hose 35.5 feet long. The hose was connected to the trailer fill manifold to allow filling of the other trailer tank. After filling the rear tank through the man-way, the rear tank was aerated and the pressure rose to 30-32 PSI. The tank was then vented to zero pressure. The tank was aerated three times before discharging. The time it took to pressure the tank was approximately 2 minutes. All tests were supplied with air from the trailer mounted Gardner-Denver APOGAA compressor.Three cement transfers were completed with discharge rates of 3077 pounds/minute (32.7 sacks/minute), 3077 pounds /minute (32.7 sacks/minute) and 2667 pounds/minute (28.4 sacks/minute). The last rate was with the bottom row of aeration elements disconnected from the air supply.After these tests, the material remaining in the tanks was examined. Cement powder formed a bowl in the bottom of the tanks approximately 3.5 inches deep at the outer diameter. The blind flange was removed from the bottom of each tank and the cement powder was swept from the cone and interior piping. The collected cement from the rear tank was 85 pounds. The cement from the front tank was 65 pounds.Conclusion: These tests confirm the Wilco WBT-620 CF Transport, when properly maintained, will discharge through short conveying lines at acceptable rates for typical oil field cementing operations. Typical discharge rates in excess of 30 sacks/minute (2820 pounds/minute) can be expected with cement. Discharge through longer lines is possible at reduced rates. Material remaining in the tank after discharge is minimal. (This is not the actual trailer for sale, just a stock photo)
