(About) 1963 Scotsman travel trailer camper. FIRST OFF<--I WANT TO SAY THAT I HAVE POWERWASHED THIS SINCE THE EXTERIOR PICTURES WERE TAKEN!, AND IT LOOKS MUCH BETTER!) !! Pretty much all of the exterior pics were taken When I picked it up. I have a very narrow driveway and I am not able to get many good side pictures. This is a great little camper. LOTS of space. Very light, nice light tongue weight and light overall (I believe 1300" You'd be surprised how much storage space is above the dinette, in the "Hump" The camper is about 12ft + tongue. Dinette table in front and is set up so that the benches (The originals were not salvageable) creates a twin bed.\Very Nice Turquiose Icebox, Turquoise Holiday 3 Burner stove, and turquoise hood. (The icebox has been repainted.). Lots of storage!! Make no mistake, the camper has water damage in most of the usual spots. This is no surprise considering it is a 50 year old east coast camper. The area under the front window, above the door, some of the back seams.. That being said none of it is particularly surprising, and what you are more than likely to find in pretty much any old east coast camper (and these are getting harder and harder to find) Especially the Scotsman.. there are plenty of Shasta and Scotty campers out there, get someting different! I think this shape is way cooler than any Shasta or Scotty, IMHO. All of the Jalouisie windows are perfect, with nice atomic turns.. All of the glass is intact, and the mechanisms work flawlessly. The camper does not have a screen door, rather a window that functions much like a house window,.. the glass slides down, and the screen is revealed. The glass is broken and needs replacement. The original door handle is intact, and the door closes tight.. I do not have the key unfortunately. The rear window is red plexiglass. The floor is all original, and in great shape.. no soft spots. Even has the original retro turquiose pink linoleum! The skin is overall good. There are some areas of damage, most notably on the street side of the "hump" There is a hole poked through the skin, and was repaired with bondo.. It actually looked really nice until I powerwashed it and some of the bondo flaked off. Could easily be fixed again. There is the usual; wood rot in the front, as I said particularly under the window, and the underside where the front skirt is attached to has rot, so that area is loose. This is very common in the retro canned ham campers.. this one is better built than most Shasta campers or Scotty Campers I have had, but still, be aware that there will need to be work done to the structure of the camper. The frame has surface rust, the jack is not on the camper. The camper is absolutely roadworthy, I just towed it 2 1/2 hours a month or so ago, and it towed like a champ. The bearings were not hot when I got home. (I checked as soon as I finished) There is a hand pump for water, I removed the water tank as it was split right down the middle. Sink is nice, and the cabinets are great sliding type. The electric works. There are two vintage sconces, each with a plug on it, and all four connections work fine. There was a propane lamp above the dinette, which has been removed. There is a really cool slide out cutting board. Smells clean.. I really cleaned it out thoroughly when I got it home. Got rid of all the mouse houses, bleached everything, cleaned it several times. These campers are getting harder and harder to find. This camper was never abused.. the wear and rot in this camper is what you will find in pretty much every east coast camper. That being said they are also very simply constructed and can easily rebuilt. This has everything and just needs some work.. A great winter project! I can give you a bill of sale. I also have the original registration from the previous owner. What happened was the guy I bought this from bought it from his neighbor with the intention of making a food truck (Thank God he didnt!) The neighbor signed the registration over to the Man I bought it from, but he never registered it. I have that form and you are more than welcome to it. I am very certain that there are absolutely NO ownership issues with the camper. Good thread on both tires, One tire has a small leak. I filled it up, towed it 2 1/2 hours, and it was still at pressure.. took 2 days to droop.. The running lights are not working and will need to be rewired, or spliced. I will include a new set of tow lights, and a new set of safety chains. This is a really great camper, with an absolutely unique shape. Its a classic! Only selling because my dream camper came along, so I have to sell this both to raise money for the dream camper, and also out of necessity.. I am only allowed 1 camper at a time. How unreasonable!!! :) Thanks alot and let me know if you have any questions. The last picture is of another Scotsman.. Exact same shape, just different door) As I said, this camper is roadworthy and I recently towed it 2 1/2 hours with no problems, but I just want to state that it is recommended to use a flatbed when purchasing a Vintage trailer, especially if you will be driving long distances.
