Our Goal was to design a coach in the 40ft category that had the Power, Performance, Stability and Towing Capacity to handle a Stacker Trailer. We wanted to keep the coach as close to 40ft as possible so you could easily maneuver in campgrounds, RV parks, and State Parks when you were not pulling a trailer. All of this was accomplished without sacrificing Living Space in The Coach. At just 41 ft in overall length, this coach has hit the mark. POWER: We chose the Detroit DD13 engine with 470 Hp and 1,650 ft lb of Torque. And is rated to tow a combined weight of 80,000lbs. We have great faith in this engine and use it exclusively in our Signature Series Line. PERFORMANCE: By selecting the Freightliner Cascadia 113 Chassis we were able to decrease the turning radius of the coach. In fact, we feel it will rival the turning radius of most single axle coaches in its class. With such a great turning radius, the drivability of this coach will be exceptional. STABILITY: With Tandem Rear Drive Axles, you will have 8 Rear drive tires on the ground offering you unmatched stability, traction, and braking power. Each Rear Axle Is a Powered Axle, Equipped with Air-Ride Suspension and Air Operated Disc Brakes. The stability of the coach will truly amaze you. TOWING CAPACITY: With a 30,000lb Rated Tow Hitch that will support 5,000lb of Trailer tongue weight, this coach will handle just about any size Stacker Trailer. The IWS Signature Edition is what we consider the ultimate coach in the 40 ft class. We used our IWS Custom Cascadia Chassis that is the ultimate in Drivability, Maneuverability and Performance. We also added some other special features that will greatly enhance the drivability of this coach. We wanted to be able to take this coach on the roads less traveled, having great turning radius and great visibility was very important to us. By using this special order Cascadia Chassis we were able to shorten the hood by 12” greatly improving visibility and Drivability. For power we chose the Detroit DD13 engine because of its industry wide dependability, fuel mileage and low end power. We ordered this engine with 470 hp and 1,650 lb ft of torque backed by an Allison 6 Speed Automatic Transmission. Freightliner calculated we could pull an 8% grade weighing 80,000lbs with this combination. We also loaded the cab up with the ultimate in comfort and features. We had Renegade install an Aero Cap with a full walk in cab. When it came to the paint, we wanted this coach to have a modern design but with subtle colors that would accent the outside and would pair well with the Natural Maple Cabinets and Mushroom Vibe Padded Walls. Once again, Renegades Paint Shop really captured the essence we were looking for. Once you enter this coach you will see our attention to detail did not stop with the Exterior. For the interior, we selected Ultra Leather Fabric, Tiled Flooring, & Hand Crafted Cabinets. We also upgraded the Generator to a 12.5 Kw, Added a 3rd air conditioner. With our Arctic Insulation Package we not only increased the R-Value we greatly improved the sound proof qualities of this coach. We had our own engineers design the Wardrobe Closet and Bedroom Entertainment center. We also designed the Recliner area to have that perfect shelf so you can reach your remote and drink without moving from the reclined position. We equipped this chassis with Air Ride suspension, Locking Rear Differential and 3 stage Jacobs Engine Brake. This Chassis is a true Million Mile Chassis. With a Large Single Rear Axle, you have Incredible Weight Capacity and equally Incredible Turning Radius “55 Degree Wheel Cut”. You will not believe how easy it is to drive and maneuver this coach. When it come to the coach portion, we built this unit based on the Explorer platform. What we like about the Explorer, is that it offers one of the lowest roof lines in the industry. This allows you more options when it comes to traveling the road less traveled, it also offers exceptional performance when cruising down the hi-way. The Renegade Explorer is constructed with 2” thick laminated side wall that is not only exceptionally strong, it is exceptionally good looking with its radius corners and smooth body lines, the Explorer is one of a kind. Everyone always asks me, what would you do if you were building a coach for your own use. Well, here is my answer. This is the twin to the coach we just had Renegade build for my personal family use. The only difference is the colors and this coach has a washer / dryer combo. The IWS Signature Edition is what I consider the ultimate coach in the 40 ft class. The IWS Signatures Series is something we have been developing for the last 12 months. We started by selecting a custom ordered Chassis that would be the ultimate in Driveability, Maneuverability and Performance. We chose the shorter Freightliner Cascadia 113 Chassis so we could reduce overall wheelbase which increased turning radius. We were also able to stay in the 40 ft class of coach. By using the Cascadia 113 vs the 125 Chassis we were able to shorten the hood by 12" greatly improving visibility and Drivability. For power we chose the Detroit DD13 engine because of its industry wide dependability, fuel mileage and low end power. We ordered this engine with 470 hp and 1,650 lb ft of torque. We also loaded the cab up with the ultimate in comfort and features. We had Renegade install an Aero Cap over the cab instead of the standard bunk, this option gives great exterior looks and still offers a small sleeping or storage area over the cab. When it came to the paint, we wanted this coach to have a modern design but with subtle colors that would accent the outside and would pair well with the natural wood inside the coach. I think Renegades Paint Shop really captured the essence we were looking for. Once you enter this coach you will see our attention to detail did not stop with the Exterior.
