Description Our company, RV Transformations, created an amazing no expense spared interior remodel of this coach to demonstrate many of the services we offer. We literally stripped the coach from top to bottom and installed an amazing new interior that included a new suede headliner to coordinate with a new interior color scheme, new cabinetry, beautiful new taupe colored porcelain tile floor, all new lighting including the latest in LED technology, new home entertainment equipment, all new furniture and upholstery, new custom carpets, area rugs and so much more. This coach has provided us with a valuable mobile demonstration of our work, but the time has come for some lucky new owner to enjoy this incredible luxury home on wheels. The Prevost XL Chassis, with only 90,000 miles, formed a solid platform to accommodate the remodel, but the interior was starting to show its age. We felt the investment required to bring this coach right up to date would be redundant without slide outs. Fortunately the original conversion of this coach included two amazing hydraulic slide outs engineered by HWH, the industry leader, that we felt would justify the expense. The slides were installed by the original converter Rogue Coach in Oregon, who at the time were a major competitor to Marathon Coach in Coburg OR, the world's largest converter of Prevost chassis. Rogue were an industry pioneer and were very inovative in making improvements to their Prevost conversions long before others in the industry. The HWH slide outs in this coach are a good example, its very rare to see slide outs in Prevost conversions prior to 2001, they operate flawlessly. In my opinion, with over 30 years experience in the industry, I have never seen smoother, faster and more quiet operating slides on any other coach including current high end units. Another innovation rarely seen on Prevost conversions prior to 2001 are the four rooftop mounted all electric Girard awnings that were and still are a very expensive installation at $35,000 - $40,000. Our final justification, and key to almost all Prevost conversions from 1996 forward, is the 500-HP 12.7-liter Detroit Diesel Series 60 engine, one of the best diesel engines ever built and a true million mile contender. The best of these engines were the early production years, over time EPA restrictions choked their performance until the engine was discontinued in 2007. Power from the Series 60 is transferred to the rear wheels through the the silky smooth heavy duty 6 speed automatic Allison transmission, the ultimate driving force! The paint scheme of this coach is also not dated and was painted by John Stahr who painted all Marathon coaches until 2006. It is up to date both in terms of design and color, the paint is also in good condition and coordinates beautifully with the stainless steel on the outside and interior colors on the inside. The original sales price of this coach was close to $1,000,000, new two slide Prevost conversions today sell for $2,000,000 plus, and frankly apart from a more current body style, less mileage and a more dramatic paint scheme, they are not a lot better than our remodeled conversion, at a fraction of the price. In addition to the interior renovation, all of the mechanical components of the coach including the plumbing system, AquaHot system, generator, inverter, air conditioning, hydraulic components, engine, transmission, batteries and electrical components were all inspected, serviced as necessary and parts replaced as required. You will notice among the photos below we have included some photos of the original interior of the coach, so you can see the dramatic transformation of our remodel. Key Features While this is a 1997 Prevost conversion it features all of the improvements you would expect in an current conversion. We installed a beautiful new taupe colored porcelain tile floor stretching from the entry steps through the living room, kitchen and bathroom.  The living room features all new seating featuring two super comfortable leather swivel reclining chairs with ottomans, new Villa leather sofa sleeper, new entertainment center featuring a 38" HD Flat Panel TV on a lift, surround sound amplifier, BluRay player, and electric fireplace. Other updates include all new wall sconce lighting, matching dining table ceiling pendant, glass tile accent wall with LED strip lighting, also all existing halogen ceiling puck lights have been replaced with LED fixtures. Other LED accent lighting includes subtle wall washing under the window ledges and ceiling soffits, the original rope lighting around the mirrored ceilings have new LED strip lighting. The combination of these improvements is simply stunning and has transformed this area of the coach into an ultra deluxe living space. The galley features a new glass tile backsplash with under cabinet LED strip lighting in addition to accent lighting installed around the contour of the Corian counters to wash the cabinets below with light. Engine, Transmission & Generator Detroit Diesel turbo charged 12.7-liter Series 60 engine producing a whopping 1,650 FT-LB Torque for effortless mountain climbing, towing and overall stressless driving. The engine is mated to a heavy duty version of the reliable and smooth Allison 6-speed automatic transmission. The 20KW Kubota diesel generator will provide you with all the power you need when shore power is not available. Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption A brand new set of eight 8D Lifeline batteries were installed, an investment of over $5,000 Four Zip Dee folding chairs neatly stow in one of the compartments, the fabric used for the chaairs coodinates with the roof top awning fabric. There is space in this compartment to install a ceiling mounted flat panel TV to provide a convenient outdoor entertainment center. Coordinating fabrics!! The rooftop mounted awnings join together at the front and rear of the coach with a modern fairing design. The coach was designed and painted by John Stahr who also painted all the Marathon coaches up until 2006 with his own studio inside the Marathon factory in Coburg OR. The 20KW Kubota diesel generator is neatly installed in a compartment next to the rear engine bay.   The 4000 Watt Trace inverter keeps the bank of 8 newLifeline batteries fully charged with  power provided from either shore or generator power and then brovides 110 volt power to the coach from the batteries when power is needed.     The slide out hydraulic system is located to the left side of this photo and the power cord reel container is located to the right. Hot and cold water is provided to all the plumbing locations in the coach via a manifold system so if a leak developes in one location it can be isolated while still proiding water to all the other locations. All new power operated grey and black dump vales were installed together with a new fresh water hose. Athe heart of this beautiful motorhome is the Detroit Diesel Series 6 engine, one of the very best diesel engines ever built. When entering the coach you are greeted with a handsome new installation of porcelain tile. This is a photo of the entry steps before they were replaced with the porcelain tile. To enhance the entry further we replaced the carpeted wall on the left with tile also. Custom edge bound step mats provide a safe entry and exit from the coach in wet weather. The metal accent pieces like the post on the left side and windshield vents and grab bars on the right were originally brass, they were removed and refinished in chrome to provide a more current and updated look. The driver and passenger seats in the coach are in very good condition and are both eight way adjustable. The dash is well laid out with all controls easy to reach and gauges easy to read. With only 93,000 miles the engine is literally just run in, The Prevost coach chassis and Detriot Diesel Series 60 engine are both designed to run a million miles and more. All gauges are neatly arranged for easy viewing. All of the entry hardware including the door handle, grab bars and locks were originally brass, each peice was removed and replated in chrome. The passenger seat has an electric foot rest and will swivel around to face the living room to provide more seating. A GPS Navigation monitor is available for the co-pilot to keep you on track to your destination. The original TV was installed at an angle directly above the entry steps, as you can imagine this was a real "head banger". This TV was removed and new over the windshield cabinetry was installed to accommodate a new overhead flat panel TV.The TV can be comfortably viewed can by the passenger iwith the chair in a reclined position. This is a photo of the original TV installation located directly above the the entry steps. As you can imagine this created a serious "head banger" for taller people entering the coach! Notice the new location in the photos above and below which we were able to achieve with a flat panel HD TV. We also created a new storage cabinet to the right of the TV. Caption Several controls are located in this cabinet including the inverter control panel, Cruiseair, front slide out control and awning switches. Caption The original 90's look has been replaced with a warm new updated 2015 look with a complete interior renovation including flooring, lighting, wallpaper, seating and ceiling!     This is a photo of the original interior. While it was a tity and well kept interior it was clearly dated. The living room carpet and kitchen tile were replaced to provide a full tile floor from the entry all the way back to the bedroom.         Both the pendent light over the dining table and the wall sconce lighting were replaced with beautiful new matching fixtures.         The mirrored wall was replaced with a spectacular glass tile accent wall with an LED lighted frame to match the new backsplash in the kitchen.         The ungly fabric sofa on the right was replaced with an up to date ultras leather sofa from Villa, a high end manufacturer of RV seating. It is also a queen sized sleeper sofa.         The dated button tufted leather lounge chairs were replaced with comfortable new leather Euro swivel recliners with ottomans in a color to coordinate with the new sofa..   Notice the new glass tile backsplash in the galley area. We decided to remove the mirror on the refrigerator wall next to the dining table with a matching glass tile display wall. Both installations are lit with LED strip lighting. It seems many motorhome manufacturers put a mirror on any blank wall, its the easy least expensive solution but most people don't want to look at themselves every time they walk by! Originally there was a low coffee table in this area to cover the AquaHot heat exchanger unit in the front. We decided to remove it and replace it with a beauftiul glass fronted electric fireplace! Both the heat exchanger and the fireplace generate heat for the living room. This is a photo of the original table located between the lounge chairs. As noted above we replaced the table with a spectacular new entertainment center and fireplace. Also notice the divider panels between the windows which originally were wallpapered, these were recovered in suede to match the suede ceiling. To add a subtle ambiance to the coach and provide a variety of lighting options we installed new wall sconce lights. The light itself is finished in a brushed stainless finish and coordinates well with the cabinet hardware and other chrome accents. The shade of the sconce is a perfect compliment for the new suede ceiling headliner both in texture and color. In addition to the cabinet top we added shelves on the side  to display your home accessories and other mementos you may have to display. The shelves are laminate so you can anchor them with Velcro or a dab of silicone to stop them sliding around when travelling. The top is finished in Corian and blends perfectly into the Corian window ledges. The flame produced by the fireplace looks like a real fire and adds lots of atmosphere on chilly desert evenings What a difference the new porcelain tile floor makes compared to the original carpet, a picture is worth a thousand words! The front slide out creates lost of room to pass through the seating areas and at the same time adds a spacious feeling throughout the space. The beautiful taupe colored porcelain tile floor is easy to maintain and coordinates perfectly with the leather of the dining seating, the leather swivel recliners and taupe colored sofa. The new leather Euro chairs are extremly comfortable and both swivel and recline in various positions. They also have a unique "layered" look that says "come sit in me now". This photo shows the heat exchanger vent, fireplace hearth and mantle. Incase you were wondering if there was a TV in the living room, the answer is yes! The TV is mounted on an electric lift and rises up out of the cabinet with the touch of a button on a remote control! The installation provides the best of both worlds, offering a convenient location with a comfortable viewing height when you want TV and a useful no clutter display area when you don't. Caption Caption Caption Caption Notice the new LED lighting accent strip lighting under the window sill and counter top. We also lined the ceiling valances with the same LED strip, you can choose one of over a hundred colors with the convenience of a hand held remote control. You will see other applications of this in the photos below. One or both swivel recliners can be moved from their position against the wall to a more convenient position to watch TV. With the slide out there is enough room to pass by both chairs in this position. Caption Both the forward and mid entertainment TV's are connected to use the same feed from Caple, BluRay or Satellite signals. Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption The new dinette lighting pendent matches the new wall sconces. Caption Caption We used under cabinet white LED strip to wash the new glass tile backsplash, galley floor area and new accent display wall in a beautiful white light. We installed new LED accent strips throughout the coach which can be controled with a hand held remote control. From this remote you can choose over a hundred colors to suit your mood! Notice also the accent strip around the bed frame. Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption The original backsplash had dated mirror panels, these were replaced with a new glass tile backsplash. Also notice the brass door handles were replaced with brushed chrome handles and brass plumbing fixtures were replaced with chrome. Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption We retained the original residential refrigerator. While it works well it could be replaced with a more modern version. Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption Caption   This is a photo of the original bedroom wall and location of the old TV. The bedroom features a spectacular new 60" HD flat panel TV entertainment center. The TV silently glides into position and stows again into a new custom TV cabinet with the help of a heavy duty electric TV lift operated with a remote control. Also notice the new position of the BluRay player mounted in the mirror wall. Caption Caption Caption Caption The rear five feet of the coach features a huge closet with an electric controled Clothes Carousel mounted to the ceiling that revololves like you see in a dry cleaners!l Caption Caption Caption
