Performance Motorcoaches is proud to offer a very well kept 2012 Jayco Embark TB390. Jayco only built the Embark for a few years as the cheaper Seneca really took off and the higher price point Embarks sales slipped. The Embark came at a much higher price due to not only the upgraded chassis, but also the RV conversion itself. If you have been looking at the Senecas, Dynamaxs, or the other Medium duty Class C RVs, you need to explore the Embark. The single biggest difference chassis wise is the motor itself. This is equipped a 330HP Cummins Diesel that has a displacement of 8.3L. The vast majority of the competition have the much smaller 6.7L Cummins. While the 6.7L does put out 340HP, the torque rating falls much lower at 660 compared to 1050 with this particular Embark. Additionnly this unit is equipped with the 3000 series 6 Speed Push-Button Allison vs the dash-shift 2500 series automatic. The push button is much more robust and has a much better shifting pattern. Lastly, this unit is full air ride suspension and sits up higher than the units with the smaller motor. It has a higher GVWR rating and is equipped with a 20K receiver hitch. This would be a great rig for someone needing to pull a heavy trailer such as a car collector hauling a small stacker trailer. This unit was purchased new in 2012 and has been kept stored indoors since new. The sealant on the roof looks as good as does the full body paint. With just under 24,000 miles and only 500 hours on the generator, this unit hasn't seen much use. It was purchased new at the local Jayco Dealership and was traded back in 2014 for another RV. The second owner used the RV to travel to rodeos with his his family and has since gone back to a living quarters horse trailer. It has NEVER been smoked in, lived in, or abused in any way. This has been a West Texas RV since new which a great place to buy and RV because of our very dry climate. It is pet free and odor free. The tires have ZERO weather cracking and still look new. Many people consider these larger units a "Super C", but the safety, serviceability, and ease of maneuverability is what sets these units apart from a conventional Class A RV. The larger Class C Motorhomes have really taken a larger part of the market share in the last few years. These are commonly called a "Super C" where as traditional Class C RVs were built on van chassis and regular 1 ton truck chassis. The weight limitation of these smaller chassis proved to be huge limiting factor and the best alternative was to enter into the larger truck Chassis. Because of the long standing relationship between Freightliner and many RV manufactures, the obvious choice was the Freightliner. For years people have used the M2 chassis to pull larger 5th Wheel RVs and Living Quarters Horse Trailer and have become accustomed to the larger brakes, increased towing capacity and the longer service life. But what became apparent in the RV world was the safety and reliability.
