1997 Fleetwood Southwind 35LS, Lots more pics upon request. The RV has been remodeled to add a bunkhouse. Each bunk has a storage shelf, power and lights. There are 2 HUGE drawers under the bunks. The dinette was removed from its traditional position and replaced with 2 6' bunks, very nicely made and meshed into the existing decor. One have of the dinette seat was moved forward and replaced the third passenger chair. the table is set up in front of that bench and is cut down the middle to enable it to hinge down for driving. The rolling automan serves as a bench for the opposite side of the table. This arrangement has actually opened up the main seating area greatly. We have had as many as 9 people all seated around the main table area to play games. The carpet in the main area and bathroom has been replaced with hardwood floors. The dashboard center storage has been remodeled to include a telescoping computer desk the enables both drive and passenger side seats to rotate and use this desk.. A Grant GT steering security system with wooden GT Steering wheel were added to enable the steering wheel to be quickly removed to allow for the driver seat to fully turn around. This also allows for elbows to move freely when typing on the computer desk. The front springs have been replaced with Henderson Supersteer Springs specifically set to the actual weight of the front axle. This has restored ride to the RV as well as greatly improved the steering stability. It was very well worth the add. Every RV has some issues.. Here are the issues with this one.. The leveling jack gears have stripped and the gears will not extend.. There is a part number for these gears, but I have not searched for a price yet. The Electric Steps in the doorway will sometimes stop working, this can be easily remedied by a light tap with a hammer on the motor.. There is a dead spot in the motor coils that cause this every once in a while. The generator start button on the dash stopped working.. You can still stop the generator from the dashboard. Here are the items that have been repaired on this unit: Cracked plumbing repaired from freeze damage, outside shower added, new kitchen faucet. New refrigerator vent cover. Digital TV converter installed. $20,000.00
