2003 Forest River Lexington GTS, We bought this last June and have used it on 6 trips (12 nights) and have decided we just are not RV people. We like hotels better. We bought it online from an individual in North Carolina and I flew there from Kansas City and drove it back. Not a single mechanical problem on the return trip of 1100 miles. And no problems since. Runs fine and all systems work fine except cruise control. (Cruise has not worked since we have had it. ) On the return trip from North Carolina I turned into a wrong driveway and had to turn it around in tight quarters and backed into a rock. It did minor damage to the right rear corner. There are also other minor scratches and stains here and there. Nothing out of the ordinary for a 12 year old vehicle. After getting it home, I had the oil/filter changed, the transmission fluid/filter changed/flushed, fuel filter replaced, the brakes checked, etc. just to be sure nothing was wrong with it. Low mileage on tires (see photo). 4 KW Onan generator recently serviced with new plug, air and fuel filters. Fairly new awning. Ladder mounted bike rack. House and chassis batteries are strong. I replaced the skylight which was broken when I bought it. I added a high-mounted full-time rear view camera (use as a rear view mirror) and also a low-mounted wide-angle backup camera which comes on when shifting to reverse. (There is an override so either camera can be displayed at any time.) I replaced the microwave/convection oven, which did not work, with an identical model. We have put less than 5000 miles on it. It has a stereo system, but we have never used it. The dash radio works. It has a disk type TV antenna with booster which works very well. We carry a small 16 inch TV with us but it is not attached and does not go with it. The dinette and couch make into a king bed but my wife and I don't use it that way. We leave the couch up and put the dinette down. My wife and the dog sleep on the dinette and I sleep on the couch. This way we still have the aisle for easy access to the bathroom. The couch was a little short for me (6' 1") but the couch arms are removable so I removed one arm and made a platform to support my feet . Works great for us, but we just don't enjoy the RV life style like we thought we would. Too used to the comforts of home I guess. I have not towed anything. It has a receiver and is wired for trailer lights. I have used the hitch for a cargo rack and bike rack. No odors. We are non smokers. Dog is well behaved. I dump and flush the holding tanks after each use. I would be glad to pick you up at the KCI airport which is about 15 miles from my house. I would expect a cashiers/bank check or cash on transfer of title. There is no lien so transfer will be very simple. $19,500.00
