2004 National Islander , The Islander was National RVs flagship model. This particular coach has cherry wood cabinets, Corian counters, and ceramic tile in the kitchen/bath areas with carpet in living and bedrooms. A beautiful and functional kitchen area sits across from the dinette. The kitchen is not on a slide out, so there are no propane hoses working back and forth when the slide is extended or retracted. This coach is great for quick overnight stops if you need to leave the slides in, as all functions remain completely accessible. The bedroom has a queen sized bed with slide, a vented washer/dryer combo enclosed in a convenient corner cabinet and a full sized, mirrored closet across the back. The room is separated from the living area by a large shower/tub area with separate toilet compartment and wood sliding pocket doors for privacy. This floor plan, with the powerful Cummins 400hp engine, combines the best of Country Coach and National RV. The Islander model is well-behaved on the highway and a sheer pleasure to drive. These effortless driving characteristics are due to the superior construction of the Country Coach Dynomax chassis with its long wheelbase and short overhang. Two of the storage bays in the large basement are pass-through with dual direction slide-out trays and there is also a pull-out tool drawer. The Onan 8kw generator has only 234 hours on it and the gray and black tanks store 70 gallons each for a total of 140. She carries 150 gallons of diesel fuel and can be filled from either side. This coach has all the bells and whistles you might expect from a quality 40 motorhome. It has not been smoked in, there have been no pets, and with its custom full body painted exterior, it is a gorgeous coach that will make you proud to own.
