Iconic yet contemporary, the 2012 Airstream International 27' FB is by far the best model produced. My wife and I purchased this aluminum dream with the intent to live in it until we knew where we would purchase our first house. An agreement struck with family allowed us to preserve the bathroom and shower so, like the rest of this trailer, these areas are immaculate and show no wear at all. After two years of using it primarily as a bedroom for sleeping, our careers took us away from Airstream life and this became more of a weekend retreat. Fortunately, during those first two years, all of the bugs have been worked out and the warranty covered everything. Not only is everything 100% functional and perfect but the off-gassing from the low formaldehyde materials used in its construction has completely dissipated. In the 4 years we've owned this Airstream, we have taken two trips to Bellingham, WA from Corvallis, OR, a couple trips to the coast and a handful of local destinations such as Silver Falls State Park. Therefore, I can say without a doubt this coach has way less than 2,000 miles on it. Its low mileage is obvious to the trained eye; when you look at the front end and there's not a single rock chip, dent, ding or scratch from towing whatsoever. It has a 190-watt solar system consisting of two 95-watt solar panels, two glass-mat deep cycle gel batteries and a 600-watt power inverter for comfort and electricity off grid. The hot water heater and refrigerator can both operate using propane (off grid) and electricity (when plugged into shore power). Also included is the heavy-duty anti-sway towing system (with the bars, not the cheap chain style, $1,000 value), a pair of strap-on mirrors, shore power adapter to standard, water-line compressor blowout adapter, and many other miscellaneous important items that a new Airstream owner must have.Please contact me to set up a time for a tour or if you would like additional information/pictures.
