More information:
This FMC 2900R was made in 1972 by the Food Machinery Company Corporation (FMC Corp.), a company specialized in agricultural, airline, and military machinery, such as tanks. Around 1960, the corporation predicted a reduction in its military contracts, and started the production of high-end motorhomes. FMC Corp. designed its own heavy-duty chassis for this motorhome, incorporating some of the features found in its military vehicles. Between the year 1972 and 1976 they made 915 of the FMC motorhomes. At that time the FMC motorhome was a luxury product, and was built for the upscale traveler. And it still has some features owners of newer RV’s can be jealous about. We bought this FMC in 2016 and spend several months, with the help of a few experts on these motorhomes, to functionally restore it, including many upgrades to allow for better operation.

We took this RV on a six-month trip across the states, from San Francisco to the East coast, both as a very extensive road test to get any remaining kinks out, as well as to enjoy the beautiful country. Unfortunately, we now have to sell this motorhome because we have to fly back to Europe.
