2015 Thor Motor Coach Axis 25.1We bought this amazing RUV last year and were looking forward to lots of camping, soccer weekends, and family trips. It was exactly what we wanted – whether we used it for a weekend camping trip, a week-long road trip, or just taking the family to my son’s soccer game. The size was perfect, and it has all the bells and whistles. In fact, my kids affectionately have named it “Thor” and often ask “when are we taking Thor out again?” Well, we only used it 5 times last year, and put less than 5,000 miles on it because my job changed and I had to travel more than I expected. We have, after a lot of thought and sadness, decided that we can’t use the RUV as much as we want, and have decided to sell it.They call this a recreational utility vehicle (RUV) rather than just an RV. This is what attracted us to this model. It is a Class A with tons of space, but very maneuverable and easy to drive (thank god for the backup and side cameras!). It’s perfect for weekend soccer tournaments, cheerleading competitions, tailgating, weekend camping, or longer trips. We had a blast on long trip down south with 7 people, with them playing cards and watching TV in the back the whole way. “Thor” has a 16-foot power awning with LED lights and a 32-inch exterior television. The two captain's chairs have a coffee table between them for convenience that you can easily remove when driving if you want. There is a 28" LED TV mounted above the door for easy viewing from the dinette, which can convert into a bed. There are also a bunch of overhead cabinets for storage, with a private area with a toilet and shower. A sink and overhead storage is across from the bathroom. At the rear, there is a corner bench areas that converts into sofa with an air bed (54 by 74-inch.) The wraparound bench was one of the main features of this model and floorplan, which was perfect for long trips with the kids hanging out in the back watching the 32” TV with DVD player. Above the benches, there are more overhead storage cabinets. The compact kitchen has a flip-up counter extension, convection oven/ microwave, three-burner stovetop, refrigerator/freezer, rainproof ceiling fans in living room and bedroom, and a Cummins Onan QG 4000 Generator. My wife loved the flip out work station in passenger/navigator seat which she used when I was driving. There is also a 39" x 74" drop down overhead bunk above the cab area for added sleeping space. “Thor” has tons of exterior storage space that easily fit all of our gear. I went kind of crazy and bought a ton of stuff, which we would be willing to part with when sold: Power cords, 50-30 transformer, levelers, clean out & fresh water hoses, sewage equipment, broom, and maps. RV cover for storage and a tire sensor system (that cost $400).
